Lanny Barnard's style is highly sensitive to the the natural mood and tone of her subject. Her paintings are often inspired by a simple thing, such as color, a narrative, or dramatic lighting, they bring together a superior knowledge of drawing, color and composition. Her remarkable ability of having varying techniques while painting traditional landscapes, western animals, sunsets, aspen trees, and portraits is what makes the gallery so unforgettable.

    Lanny's studies included the art students League of New York and the University of Utah. Almost all of her works are painted in her studios in Salt Lake City and Laguna Beach. She has been painting for over forty years.
